Auto Crafts
Ft. Ord Auto-Craft shop had all the necessary tools, plus instructors
to help. The only requirement was that you attend a one night auto
tune-up course. The two hours class would teach you to replace your
carâs point and plugs and how to use a timing light and dwell meter to
properly adjust the engine. Facilities included 5 lifts for lube and oil
changes, diagnostic equipment, certified smog, lamp, brake
inspection station, lubrication racks, arch torches, bubble and
electric wheel balancers, drum and disk brake turning, sandblasting and
spray painting booth, body fender shop, tool check-out and car washes.
Special tune-up classes for women were also availible.
